• It must be suitable for mass production, be made of high quality, long lasting, sustainably and be satisfying to use.
• It could have swappable tops to allow users to change out the lantern for different designs quickly or swap out the bases when one runs out of battery
• The lantern should be repairable as right to repair is an important factor in modern sustainable designs.
